Booting with a bootable disk can run GHOST, and you don't need pure DOS. However, if you install XP first and then DOS, you need to learn it, heh heh.

There is a version of Ghost that can back up things in the system, but it just can't restore the C drive.

Still add pure DOS to WinXP. This is real DOS, not virtual, and there are no disadvantages of MaxDos. Before making the image, add a pure DOS to the XP system, so that there is no need to insert a boot disk every time you want to restore it.

Required commands:
Sys;srcboot;bootpart;attrib

Are these all integrated in the system? I can boot into DOS with the CD now, just don't know if these files are originally integrated in it
