I want to learn DOS basics, but I can't seem to understand the things on the forum. Just now, I saw a book in the bookstore titled "Windows Server 2008 Command Line Practical Guide", can I buy it? The content starts from the basics, which is quite suitable for me, but I don't know if the Windows Server 2008 command line is the same as other Windows command lines, so I haven't dared to buy it yet. That's right.

But, if you understand the command line, you should be almost familiar with DOS commands, right?

That's not right. Many commands and parameters of the Windows command line, especially in the NT series of Windows, cannot be used in DOS.

Learning batch processing under Windows can be done by just looking at the command line. For learning batch processing under DOS, it is suggested to read DOS batch processing books. Many commands and their usages are different between the two.

Written, haha... Just learn Windows first, and then gradually transition to DOS.

Since you mentioned server, you are probably related to the backend. You can not learn pure DOS. Just learn the CMD command line of Windows well. If you have energy, take a look at WMI, which is more useful in practice.
