Who can deeply explain about if, for, set, % - China DOS Union Forum

I discovered this website again today. After entering, I downloaded a package of bat files to take a look. Usually, I thought my learning of DOS commands was pretty good, but now I realize there's a whole new world here! I need to keep working hard. I've also downloaded some textbooks online, but the explanations of if, for, set, % are still not good enough. Please, all you experts, explain them.

New problem:
Also explain the command reg add for adding to the registry with batch processing.

Previously, I used the choice command to judge input, but the function was limited. I saw on the forum that set /p is used to receive input. Please explain it in detail.

Welcome cqxiaozi007 to the DOS Union and join the batch processing family. But please, cqxiaozi007, think about this for everyone: is it tiring for the experts to explain this command and that usage for everyone who comes in? Can the experts write out the code for everyone?

So, my suggestions are:
1. For problems, search more. Personally, two ways are recommended: http://www.google.com and http://www.cn-dos.net/forum/search.php

2. Read more of Microsoft's own help C:\windows\help\ntcmds.chm

3. Read more of the old posts in the forum, which are very classic

Our concept is: topics that have been discussed repeatedly in the forum should not be repeatedly taken out as FAQs. Do you think this is good?
