Forum Newcomer Must-Read, Basic Code of Conduct for Everyone.
Declaration 1: This post is reprinted from "Wuyou Boot Forum".
Declaration 2: Reprinting does not mean that I agree with all the views in it. This topic is not aimed at anyone. Please do not take it personally. It is still beneficial for everyone to learn and draw on it.
Declaration 3: The reprinted content retains all the content without any deletion or modification. It is temporarily pinned for a few days.
1. We know that you come here to solve various problems you encounter when making bootable CDs. There are also many experts here who are willing to guide you to solve problems, but we cannot teach you step by step on how to do it. We will show you a clear path, and then it is up to you to put in the hard work and effort. Those who only know to be fed and dressed without doing anything themselves should not speak here, because no one is willing to pay attention to such lazy people.
2. Before asking a question...
1. First, figure out what problem you are encountering. If you don't even know what problem you are facing, then no one can help you.
2. Secondly, read through the main content of all the sticky posts in this forum first, especially the content related to your problem should be studied in detail (this is the hard work and effort you need to put in before asking a question). Then, you should also do more practice, and strive to digest all the basic concepts, knowledge, and skills first. Without relevant basic knowledge, even if others tell you the answer, you may not understand it.
3. Basically, if you have read through the content of all the sticky posts, then 99% of the problems have been solved. If your problem still doesn't know how to solve it, then please first read the post "The Wisdom of Asking Questions (click to read)" carefully
(be sure to read it from the beginning to the end) , and then see what work you need to do to ask the question under the guidance of this post.
3. Asking a question
1.
Write a good title for your help-seeking post. You should briefly describe the problem you are encountering in the title, so that experts can roughly know what problem you are encountering when they see your post title. For titles with no substantial content, most experts here will directly ignore them and be extremely disgusted with you, because they know you are a complete luser. In addition, some people may be eager to have their problem solved, so they can't wait to show their extremely urgent mood in the title. Actually, this is meaningless. There is an old saying: Haste makes waste.
The most unsuccessful titles:
Help
Dear experts, come and take a look
Moderator, come in, I have a question to ask
Please everyone
Help me
I'm almost dying of anxiety, who can help me
Kneel down and beg xxx (I most dislike the word "beg" in the title. You are an upright person. If you are not capable, don't bring shame to your ancestors)
Dear great people, I have a question to ask... (also bringing shame to ancestors)
Is there anyone who can help me! Thanks!! (Don't waste our time, okay?)
If you think your post is not well written, you can always use the "Edit" button at the bottom left of the post content to modify your post. In this forum, I have never seen many people modify their posts. Is it because they don't know how?
2. In the content of the post, describe the problem you are encountering, your operating environment, and the work you have done according to the guidance of "The Wisdom of Asking Questions". Let others know where you want them to help you. Don't count on others to teach you step by step (I believe many people are willing to do this when they start helping others, but they will definitely not do this all the time), because we all deeply understand the truth that giving a man a fish is worse than teaching him how to fish.
3. Don't expect someone to answer your question immediately after you ask it, because others answering your question is voluntary, without any reward. And we are all busy, we also have a lot of work to do, and there are many more interesting things for us to learn. If you are not satisfied with such an inefficient way of solving problems, then go to pay for technical support!
4. If someone points out the way to solve the problem for you, please try hard and feed back the result in time. If someone gives an irrelevant answer, don't complain, and don't be rude. After all, people want to help you. Even if not, at least they have paid attention to your problem.
5. Don't post about the same question repeatedly. If your post is pushed to the back by new posts and doesn't attract enough people's attention, you can mention your post to the front by replying to the original post yourself.
4. After the problem is solved
1. If your problem is really solved, please briefly describe the root cause of the problem and the solution, and thank all those who helped you.
2. If your problem is not perfectly solved, please don't complain. After all, we are all human beings, not gods. We will continue to pay attention to your problem.
5. For all experts and those who want to help others
1. If you want to help a novice, please try to give easy-to-understand instructions and guidance. After all, they are novices, and we have all been novices. Provide them with more detailed information and materials (even software) as much as possible, so that we can help people thoroughly.
2. If you think he is really too inexperienced and you are powerless, then please maintain a little tolerance and patience. At least you can keep silent.
3. Please learn the language and characters passed down by our ancestors well. China's civilization has lasted for thousands of years. Don't let this treasure of mankind be ruined in our generation. This one is especially for those who have knowledge but can't describe it well in words. From another perspective, you are also a loser.
6. Rights and obligations of moderators
1. Moderators have the obligation to answer various questions raised by everyone when time and conditions permit. However, we all have our own work, and the management of the forum is also voluntary (at least I have not received any material rewards), so it cannot be guaranteed to answer everyone's questions.
2. Moderators have the right to modify, transfer, lock, and delete posts in the forum. But for the sake of fairness, we try not to delete posts (except for duplicate posts), but we will lock some posts that do not comply with the regulations. The reason for locking will be noted.
3. If a moderator replies to you that you are a luser, it means that there is a ready answer to your question, and you have violated the regulations of this basic code of conduct. This is not scolding you, but a kind reminder and urging for you, hoping that you will be more diligent. At least you should comply with the regulations of this basic code of conduct. Replying to you is for your responsibility. The brevity of the reply is to save time. We are all busy, and we should try to use time on meaningful things.

KO's words:
If we change "1. We know that you come here to solve various problems you encounter when
making bootable CDs" in the above post to "1. We know that you come here to solve various problems you encounter when
learning DOS", it can be completely used in our forum, hehe...
After so long, there are still so many irregular titles and non-technical questions. It's sad to see. Bring it up again. I hope that whether new members or old members, they all carefully think about this problem. "Is my post standardized?" Posting a good post is a respect for others. And those who insist on posting some low-quality posts and always find excuses for their behavior, how can others respect you? (Note, I'm not saying that you have to post a good post as soon as you come. Maybe you just came and don't understand or know how to ask questions well. It doesn't matter. But you can learn. Learning how to post and how to ask questions is the best. I only target those who are not willing to learn)
In addition, anyone may not pay attention when posting and some places are not written well, but you can modify your own post. Click the "Edit" below your post to modify it.
