近日，四川国芯科技透露，专门为中小学生学习研发的龙芯笔记本电脑已经完成设计，即将投入小规模样品生产。Sinomanic学生笔记本电脑采用400MHz龙芯1号处理器(GS32I)，128M内存，10.2寸彩色宽屏液晶显示器，40G硬盘，配备大量学习课件与名校辅导材料，英汉字典、数学公式、学习软件等。Sinomanic取“中国人的芯片”之意。
1998元的学生笔记本
目前龙芯学生笔记本电脑处于测试阶段，目前共设计了两种外观，分别针对中小学生。龙芯学生笔记本电脑学习功能丰富，包括中英文互译电子词典、多门功课学习套装、上万套涵盖中小学学习教材、模拟试卷、模拟实验，拥有网络浏览器上网、聊天、收发邮件、电子文档阅读等功能。此外，国芯科技明确表示会提供完善的产品售后服务，而且设立了专门用于学生笔记本的门户网站“绿色空间”，国内中小学生可在线学习知识、资料下载、交流共享、预装学习工具的升级、更新等。
龙芯学生笔记本电脑定价确定在1998元人民币。小规模样品生产时间就在2007年1月，之后会适时大批量生产销售。

中国人的操作系统
龙芯究竟会使用什么操作系统呢？是Linux还是Windows？相信不少网友都会有这样的疑问。但据国芯科技表示，龙芯笔记本电脑将使用由国人自行开发的操作系统！龙芯笔记本也因而成为第一台从硬件到软件，全部由国人开发的笔记本电脑。
由于龙芯处理器采用龙芯指令集的原因，并不能直接使用Windows、Linux等操作系统，MIPS指令集著名的Debian Linux、Windows CE等操作系统，测试情况也不太理想。因而国芯专门为龙芯笔记本开发了国芯Future Alpha(未来α)操作系统，该系统基于第二代微内核开发的全新操作系统内核，支持龙芯指令集，并引入自有的第一代图形接口。
目前该操作系统内核代码基本完成，可以极大的提高龙芯的处理能力。
针对中学生设计的龙芯笔记本，相比外观更加稳重，更接近目前常见的笔记本电脑。

Chinese operating system
What operating system will the Loongson use? Will it be Linux or Windows? I believe many netizens will have such questions. But according to Sinomanic Technology, the Loongson laptop will use an operating system independently developed by Chinese people! The Loongson laptop thus becomes the first laptop computer with both hardware and software developed entirely by Chinese people.
Due to the reason that the Loongson processor uses the Loongson instruction set, it cannot directly use operating systems such as Windows and Linux. The test situations of well-known operating systems such as Debian Linux and Windows CE with the MIPS instruction set are also not very ideal. Therefore, Sinomanic specially developed the Sinomanic Future Alpha (Future α) operating system for the Loongson laptop. This system is a brand-new operating system kernel developed based on the second-generation microkernel, supports the Loongson instruction set, and introduces its own first-generation graphics interface.
Currently, the kernel code of this operating system is basically completed, which can greatly improve the processing capacity of the Loongson.
The Loongson laptop designed for middle school students has a more stable appearance, closer to the current common laptop computers.
