the other day one of my colleagues asked me to change the default option from the
previous XP to Windows 98 in the multiboot menu of boot.ini on XP after he had
cleaned up XP OS due to the operation tardiness caused by the capacity insufficiency
of system memory (94mbs in 2 bars). I told him to open that boot.ini, correct the
(2) to (1) in the default line, for, XP in partition (2), 98 in partition (1).he did as
i,but,came a black screen malfunction! he said,he gained no access to system any
longer! my goodness! blame it to me! i found i hadn''t grasped all of boot.ini yet! in
order to make sure which of the three choices, ...partition(n)\windows, c:\windows
and c:\bootsect.dos, is the correct string for default, i installed your dos71 again to
my XP, so i saw the threads thru Crete labyrinth! it was just c:\bootsect.dos (any
named file which records system boot sector data will do as well)

also, the other day, a friend of mine who love playing old sanguo PCgame dropped
by my place. he wanted to play sanguo.but you know, old sanguo can be run on dos
series including 95,98 only, my system is XP. still, gave it a try, came a prompt which
read "have no enough memory".dos71 had not ben installed yet that time, so i start
my machine with installation cd-rom to dos environment, sanguo worked at last! he
hailed that much admiring me for my capability! but, it was such a big pity that there
was no sound and no portrait was displayed.

since old sanguo can be run on dos only, i tryed dos71.just the same.

which files do sound drivers consist of?
