Wengier的IO.SYS 在我的机上测试，当存在WIN98的MSDOS.SYS时就无法继续了，把MSDOS.SYS 中各项用“;”屏蔽（或更名）之后才能启动。在启动菜单中选择“Step-by-step confirmation” ，当执行“Process the system registry”后就不动了，是不是在检查MSDOS.SYS时出现问题。
Wengier's IO.SYS was tested on my machine. When there is a WIN98's MSDOS.SYS, it can't proceed. Only after shielding (or renaming) the items in MSDOS.SYS with ";" can it boot. When selecting "Step-by-step confirmation" in the boot menu, it freezes after executing "Process the system registry". Is there a problem when checking MSDOS.SYS?

这倒不是wengier的IO.sys的问题。
我原来做过一张启动光盘，也出现过这种问题。

其实在多数系统下，MSDOS.SYS的那一项并不用去管它（当然最好还是设置SystemReg=0）。只在个别系统下（例如lydong说的那个系统下）才一定要设置SystemReg=0。
先用它启动后，再直接运行相关软件修复即可，例如NetResq吧，而不会损坏数据。

Actually, in most systems, you don't need to care about that item in MSDOS.SYS (of course, it's best to set SystemReg=0). Only in individual systems (such as the system mentioned by lydong) do you have to set SystemReg=0.
First boot with it, then directly run the relevant software to repair, such as NetResq, and it won't damage the data.

没有呀！我才没有改55AA呢！改55AA是最老最笨的办法之一，要是改了55AA的话，即使软盘能启动，但不管硬盘是否被锁住，硬盘也完全不可能被识别了！详情请看我写的那篇文章。我这回改的是IO.SYS中的几行汇编（ASM）代码呀。。
