一、VtEdit只能用于窗口环境，因为它是用VB设计的程序，所以窗口系统中需要安装一些特别的.DLL库，否则不能使用的；
二、VtMagic.com的核心可以改变（比如使用VtMagic.com5.20版或VtSlim.com压缩），VtEdit就不能对付了；
三、VtEdit一次只能用一种字体，不能在同一文件中使用不同的字体，而通过VtMagic.com的合并功能加指定起始载入码则可以；
四、在DOS环境中，VtMagic.com可以只显示而不用生成文件，也就是说显示对象是无限的，只要有一个HZK16就行了。
VtMagic.com的小体积多功能只有汇编语言才能做到！！！
VtEdit不是一无是处，它可以在窗口环境下方便使用，能生成GBK16汉字库（当然其它程序也有此功能），能生成BCDW的字库。替代VtMagic是不可能的，二者各取其长、联合使用吧！
