My unit allocated me a 486 microcomputer, which has DOS 6.22 + Windows 3.2 + Word 5.0, a network card, and a 5.25-inch floppy drive. How can I set it up to access other microcomputers in the local area network so as to use their 3.5-inch floppy drives and CD-ROM drives?

Please install Windows 3.11. As long as there is a network card driver, the network function under Win 3.11 is much stronger than that of 3.2, just it is in English. If you only want to access the server's drive, just install the M$ clientl software under DOS. Under DOS, you can directly and completely share the files of another machine at startup with commands. For specific software needs and other questions, please log in to http://dfln.533.net to leave me a message or email: dfln@eypu.com. It's all free.

The network card driver is complete, but I just don't know how to set it up.
My DOS version has network software. After executing NET START, it shows:
you were logged on, but have not been validated by a server. Therefore, you may not have permission to use some network resources.
Where can I download Windows 3.11 for Workgroups? I've been looking for it for several years. I once downloaded one, but there were always error prompts during installation.

I also encountered the same problem as the 4th floor. Is there a solution? Does anyone talk about the successful method? Also, for using LAN on DOS, is there a memory requirement? What is the minimum size? But I didn't care about the above problem and directly ran the NET command. Sometimes I can see my colleague's machine, sometimes it freezes, the probability of freezing is extremely high, and the probability of success is only 1%. Who can help! Why is this?

I've installed ms network client 3.0 and ne2000. Since there's no driver for my network card, I used a compatible one. It said it was successful during startup, but I still don't know how to connect the two machines. Do I need the other machine to also be in DOS and install the same software? Can't one be DOS and the other be Windows?

My network card is D-Link DFE-530TX. I want to connect the computer to the Novell network under DOS and log in to the Novell network server. How to configure the network card driver and its parameters?
Thanks!

I've mapped several disks on the LAN host of the internet café. Just simply use the NET VIEW and NET USE commands.

What should I do? There is one DOS machine and one WIN2K machine that can be connected. I heard that I need to add DOS - based users in WIN2K. I don't know what it means. Could the moderator explain it clearly? I have poor comprehension.

The following is the statement from chitianshi on 2004-6-29 11:24:11:
I have mapped several disks of the LAN host in the internet cafe
Just simply use the NET VIEW and NET USE commands

May I ask how exactly to use them? I tried it under DOS, but it prompted that the NET command cannot run under DOS
