　　 1. Two PCs can be linked through the RS232 port, and the communication baud rate can be selected from 115200, 57600, 38400, 19200, and 9600, etc. Since networks are not yet widely used in our country at present, it can be used very conveniently for data exchange between two or more microcomputers.
　　 2. Data backup. Data can be backed up to another microcomputer, a floppy disk, or some other directory, etc. Symbols such as 〉, =, 〈, 〉=, and 〈〉 can be used to define backup files, and data backup within a specified time period can be selected.
　　 3. It has basic DOS functions and can be used as general disk management software. For example, it can create and delete subdirectories; copy and delete files, rename files, display directories, and operate on the directory tree, etc. This is similar to software such as PCTOOLS.
　　 4. Other features. When using commands, wildcards such as * and ? can be used; only some files may be selected for operations; it also has functions such as reloading the DOS system.
　　 5. Connection method. After connecting the RS232 ports of the two microcomputers with a cable, when one machine enters Lap-Link, if the other side has already entered, then the content of the other side's left window will be displayed in the right window; if the other side has not entered, then the right window will show that the other side is not ready. When the other side enters Lap-Link, you only need to press the “→” key to connect. Lap-Link's left window displays operation information such as the local machine's directories and files.
