Every time I start the system, the little sound icon is missing from the toolbar, and I have to open the system properties window and refresh it a few times before it appears. Only then can I play music. Why is this happening?

Could it be that the sound card has a bit of poor contact, or there is some problem with the system software: if it’s the former, open the case, pull out the sound card and plug it back in properly; if it’s the latter, just reinstall the system.
