In QB programming, the 16550 on a 386 multifunction card has marked parity checking, but on current motherboards the COM serial port hardware has been replaced by large-scale integrated circuits. Under DOS, COM port communication needs a driver program. If any brother or sister knows how to handle this, please help.

You can just program the serial port directly, right?

Brother, although I don't understand this too well, I found that on current motherboards, under pure DOS, a serial mouse can still be used. (The mouse driver can be loaded.) |
