First shut down the computer, then put the floppy disk into the floppy drive, and then turn it on and see. If the person who gave you the disk really is an expert, then everything will proceed automatically.
If the above method doesn't work, look around for some expert near you. How can anyone help you when you haven't given any clear information?

What system are you trying to install? If it's 98, just put in the CD and run SETUP directly.
