When I use img under DOS to read an img file, whenever I move the cursor to read and press Enter, it always gives an error and beeps.
Please give me some pointers, experts. |

Did you load an EMS or XMS memory manager? If not, it will give an error.

For image files made by different versions of HD-COPY, IMGDRIVE has to use different types before it can recognize them, seems like the two types are M and R.
The XMS driver is HIMEM.SYS, and the EMS driver is EMM386.EXE. Load them in CONFIG.SYS, and EMM386 needs the RAM parameter. |

Why not use HD-COPY to extract the IMG file? Right now, you can also use UNDISK to complete this job. The related software is all on the forum, just look carefully.

I strongly recommend that you use TIMG. This is also software for a virtual A: drive under DOS. It has major features and is much easier to use than IMG.
It can virtualize various versions of IMG and DDI image files. It can also virtualize 1.72M non-standard format images. It can also modify (add or delete) files inside an image file, and then save it as another image file; in other words, you can even delete all the files in the image file and then add files again to make a new image; in other words, you can make image files without a floppy drive! |
