Question about duse!!!!!!! - China DOS Union Forum - China DOS Union

My computer is an IBM R31. Since its CD-ROM drive is in terrible shape, I had no choice but to use an external USB one. But recently I wanted to replace it with a larger hard drive, and I need to reinstall the system, which means I need to use the USB CD-ROM drive under DOS. I found the boot disks made by New DOS Era and site admin Wengier online, but whenever I choose USB boot support, it always errors out when it gets to the USB driver. So I tried starting duse manually, but the error is still the same. The specific symptom is this: after these three lines appear
UHCI USB CONTROLLER INITIALIZED (I/O 0XA4E0 IRQ11)
the computer stops responding.

duse cannot drive all USB devices. Please first determine what type of USB controller your machine has. It seems there are two types of USB controllers! Please choose the driver according to the controller type.
