After I install the sound card driver under DOS,

it always gives some kind of message saying it can't find PCI.

I don't understand.

But I think it probably means it can't find the specified sound card in the PCI slot.

My sound card is onboard, and I don't know what to do now.

The sound card is a C-Media 8378 on a UNIKA motherboard.

Experts, please help.

My motherboard is an ASUS P4PE-X, with an integrated sound card, model ADI AD1980 six-channel output audio controller chip. How can I make it produce sound under msdos7.1?

You need a dedicated driver, brother.

Usually it's an executable command.

After it loads successfully, type the set command, and you should see something like set blaster=XXXXXXX.

If you forcefully type in set blaster=XXXXXX yourself, it won't work.
