No problem now. This is because the author of NTFS Reader made some changes to the original version without any explanation (dated 2002.10.10), trimming some code, but the version number did not change. The READNTFS.EXE 135K here should be the latest

NTFSDOS claims it loads before WINDOSWS starts and can directly access NT partitions under the graphical interface, but after I run it, WINDOWS won’t boot. Maybe it takes up too much conventional memory. How can this problem be solved?

Then configure conventional memory properly, for example you can configure it to have 630K free conventional memory. And just load NTFSDOS into UMB.
