Will it cause trouble? Also, when running, will there be a big extra overhead on system resources?

If you compress everything, then of course there will be trouble. Not all files can still execute correctly after being compressed. System resource usage will of course also go up; every file has to be decompressed before it can run. Besides, is there really any need for this?
