Microsoft has officially announced that MS-DOS, Windows 3.x, Windows 95, and Windows NT 3.x will all officially reach End of Life today (December 31, 2002). For details, see: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/lifecycle.mspx However, some people hope that other DOSes such as FreeDOS will live forever (Long Live FreeDOS). Who cares. People who want to learn or use DOS will still use DOS all the same. Microsoft didn't set DOS or WIN3X to become unusable once 2003 arrives anyway. It only means Microsoft has given up support for them.
