My mainboard is ASUS Intel 845PE (p4pe-x, 478-pin), which has an integrated sound card of AC97 type. How can I make it make sound under MSDOS?

On - board sound card AC97 driver seems not to support sound output under DOS. It is suggested to buy an external sound card, this is my humble opinion, I don't know if it is correct

You can find a way to use HWINFO to check the chip model of the sound card, and then see if there are DOS drivers. If there are none, then there's no way.
