We know that if there is a self-made LOGO.SYS file on drive C, it can replace the Win98 LOGO screen. I wonder whether it is possible to make a boot disk that also has a LOGO screen? It seems that some item in the boot disk's MSDOS.SYS file needs to be changed......?

WIN98's LOGO is already inside IO .SYS. When you format the hard disk with a WIN98 boot disk and boot from the hard disk, you will see the LOGO, so I guess you should also be able to see the LOGO when booting from a floppy. Try changing LOGO=0 to LOGO=1 in the floppy's MSDOS.SYS.
If there is no such line, then add LOGO=1. |

Yes, after adding LOGO=1, MS-DOS 7.10 can display a LOGO at startup. For example, you can replace it with a DOS LOGO, etc.

Thanks to both of you for the replies!
The floppy's MSDOS.SYS is 0 bytes. After I added LOGO=1, there was still no LOGO. Instead, the WIN98 6-option selection menu appeared. |

If the MSDOS.SYS file was originally empty, then simply adding LOGO=1 is useless. You also need to add the section before it. .LOGO.SYS is in BMP format, so you can just find any BMP-format image.

I've tried it, and there is still no LOGO.
I made a BMP myself, renamed it to LOGO.SYS, and put it under C:\, and it can be displayed there, but drive A: just won't work. |

My current MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk already has a startup LOGO.
