The moderator's boot disk aims to be universal, but it doesn't really suit me very well. I want to make a boot disk that suits my own use. After reading everyone's posts, I worked on it myself for a long time, but it still won't do. I want to use it for CD booting, mainly for system installation and system maintenance.
The requirements are as follows:
DOS7.1, and it would be best if the startup menu and LOGO could be in Chinese from the start,
The menu only needs two items: 1. boot from hard disk, 2. boot from CD-ROM; default to booting from hard disk after 10 seconds.
After booting from CD-ROM, the only hardware support to load should be: CD-ROM, MOUSE, USB. Don't do display or mouse/keyboard optimization; that seems a bit abnormal. It should automatically load SMARTDRV, and a Chinese character support system, preferably UCDOS or Tianhui. That Long-something one has too few characters, a lot are missing. As long as it can do Pinyin, if space doesn't allow it then forget Wubi. It should be able to handle NTFS hard disks, and then pack a few commonly used external DOS commands into a CAB, probably just: deltree, pfdisk, move xcopy. That's all. Save as much space as possible, because I may add a few things myself. Can any expert help me make it? I think for高手 it might only take a few minutes, but I've been messing with it myself for half a month already. I've ruined a whole pile of discs and still haven't gotten it done. If possible please send it to:
ywmail@21cn.net I would be deeply grateful!
