I've been making some network installation boot disks. There's a problem I can't solve, so I'm asking you experts. Usually, before the automatic installation of Win2k XP, it's necessary to format the primary partition first (I think this is better). If the machine originally has a FAT32 partition, it's easy. Just add "format c: /q" in files like autoexec.bat at the end of the network boot disk. But what if it's originally in NTFS format? Of course, there are many tools that can do it, such as sfdisk, but then it's not automatic installation. Is there a command-line tool to format an NTFS partition? I saw that Symantec's gdisk seems to be command-line, but I'm not sure. Is there any expert here who can teach me? I just need to automatically format the first partition (FAT32 or NTFS).

You can use ghost.exe to backup an empty hard disk and then format it with it.

Is there any other method? It's best to have a command-line tool. I saw that there is an fdisk tool in the DOS download, which is said to support the NTFS format. I don't know how to use it.
