DOS stands for freedom, openness and progress. Let us work hard, learn from the openness and GNU spirit of FreeDOS and Linux, and together build and grow a free GNU GPL world!

Does that mean it can boot from a removable hard disk?
So if I put DOS on the removable hard disk, it can boot from it, right?
If your motherboard supports booting from USB hard disk, then you can boot DOS from it. You cannot install Windows on it however. To install Windows, you have to connect your hard disk as IDE/ATA first. After installation, you can boot Win95/98/ME from it after re-connecting the hard disk as USB hard disk. But Win95/98/ME can boot from such USB hard disk only in safe mode.
