If you first boot into DOS and then install the WINDOWS system, then when booting DOS do not load those unnecessary memory-resident programs. If it still says there is not enough memory, please first copy the installation files to the hard disk, then modify the CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files so that only the required programs are loaded, and then try installing again.
Suggested CONFIG.SYS:
DEVICE=HIMEM.SYS
DEVICE=EMM386.EXE RAM AUTO
FILES=40
DOS=HIGH,UMB
Suggested AUTOEXEC.BAT
@ECHO OFF
LH SMARTDRV.EXE /X
If this still does not solve the problem, I suggest you scan for viruses first!
If there is anything inappropriate, please correct me!
