I was using FORMAT under DOS and accidentally deleted the files on drive A. I looked for the Recycle Bin, but there isn't one. I used to be able to recover them before, but this time it doesn't work. I don't know if this is some special function under DOS. Please help!

Norton's UnFormat and the U command in the special menu of PC Tools can both do it.

The following is quoted from chenzewei's post on 2004-1-24 19:49:13: Note: if you used the /U parameter when running the FORMAT command, or if you performed read/write operations on disk A after formatting, then you may not be able to get your files back. |
