I used the 7.10 made by China DOS Union. It says it supports long filenames,
but when I extract a file named 1234567890.exe under DOS it turns into 123456~0. Is this a problem with this boot disk, or a problem with the archive I made? When I tested it under Win98's MS-DOS, it didn't have this problem. What should I do? I can be sure that my compression software supports long filenames. |

I don't have this problem when I use ROM DOS,
but when the filename is in Chinese it won't work. Can anyone tell me how to make a boot disk that can extract Chinese long filenames? If anyone has one, sending me a copy is fine too. Thanks. |

Which boot disk do you mean? Although most of the DOS boot disks made here support long filenames, there are a few DOS boot disks that actually do not support long filenames. For example, the one below should support long filenames:
