Going online under DOS via MODEM dial-up was something from a long time ago, and it was relatively easy to do. Or you could go online through a LAN proxy: just assign the DOS machine an IP address and gateway, and it could get online easily as well. Now it's the broadband era, and most people use broadband to access the Internet. Can broadband Internet access be done under DOS?? I once saw someone mention using an ADSL MODEM with dial-up capability to get a DOS system online, but in essence that is still the same as going online through a LAN proxy.

What I want to ask is this: is there any virtual dial-up software (PPPOE) under DOS? Only with PPPOE dial-up software for DOS can broadband Internet access under DOS truly be achieved.
