The command line under WinXP and entering commands under DOS sometimes have the same effect, but they are still different things. My personal humble opinion: today's DOS is probably already at the end of its strength, though there is still room for refinement and perfection; as for major development, I'm afraid it will have to wait for a new major breakthrough. If there's anything inappropriate in what I've said, please do not hesitate to correct me!
