I copied the entire contents of the original XP CD to the HDD, but now the CD is damaged. When I use a burner to burn the files back from the HDD to a CDROM, it can't boot for installation. What can I do to make it work????

You're missing a boot file. If it's a single XP boot CD, just down a 2k boot file and use ultroiso to add it.

What is that file, and where can I down it?
Also, after it boots, can I have it go straight into installation?
Thanks

If you're not very familiar with boot CDs, it's easier to just down a bootable iso file directly.
