At present, I have already successfully modified the Windows Me operating system
so that the WindowsME GUI can be started in DOS mode.
But I still cannot use a boot disk to start the WindowsME GUI.
During startup, the following error messages appear:
Registry File was not found .
Registry Services May be inoperative for this Session.
XMS Cache Problem.
Registry Services May be inoperative for this Session.
System haulted.
Then the computer hangs immediately...
How should I modify the boot disk's config.sys autoexec.exe
to add the WindowsME Registry File?
I sincerely ask the moderator and experts from all sides... to kindly give your advice.
If you can clear up my confusion one by one, I would be infinitely grateful.
