Could you maybe take some inspiration from other forums' layouts? After opening the forum, have all the section names grouped into a vertical bar on the left, and then the thread titles on the right.
Also, why not bring back the five-color flag? I think it's very interesting, and I think it would help make the forum more popular. |

Actually I also think the forum layout has a lot of room for improvement. Since the moderator asked, I have a few screenshots here (539k). They could be used for reference. Should I send them to moderator w's email, or post them in the off-topic section?
