Help with DOS operation methods for a USB 1.0 external hard drive - China DOS Union Forum

Could the forum please post a flowchart for the DOS operation process for a USB 1.0 external hard drive. What software is needed, and what method is used, could you explain it? I'm really a bit confused. Under DOS I enter

A:\DUSE

and I get
A:\
After that I don't know how to access the USB hard drive. Mine is a Toshiba 30G external laptop hard drive. Sorry to trouble you, but the optical drive on my laptop is broken now, domestic products just don't live up to expectations (Lenovo). Thanks in advance...... Reply
