After an accidental operation, the machine went to a black screen. I used the MSDOS7.1 downloaded here to enter the DOS interface, but it still can't find the hard drive. How can I enter WIN2000 from the CD under DOS? Guys, please help.

Additional note: the machine is an old DELL, and the operating system is WIN2000SERVER

I think not being able to find the hard drive is not a software issue. First go into coms and do an automatic detection, search for the hard drive, and see whether it can find it. If it finds it, save and restart. If it doesn't, this kind of fault is mostly with the connection cable or the IDE port. The possibility of the hard drive itself failing is not very high. You can do replacement testing by reconnecting the hard drive cable or changing the IDE port and cable, and you should quickly find where the fault is. If a newly connected hard drive is also not accepted, one common reason is the master/slave jumper on the hard drive. If two hard drive devices are connected on one IDE hard drive cable, you have to distinguish clearly between master and slave.
