I use MS-DOS 7.10 as a boot disk, but UCDOS won't run. First it says KNL.EXE is not running, then it says RD16.EXE is not running, and after that it says or cannot be found. But I can clearly see in the directory! Could some expert please tell me? Because I'm going to take the NCRE Level 3 Database Technology exam, and I found some software with practical and written exam parts, but it has to run under UCDOS.

This has absolutely nothing to do with DOS. Your UCDOS path settings must be wrong. I used UCDOS under an MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk for a long time, and there wasn't the slightest problem.

There is absolutely no problem with the path. It's just that the system is WIN2000, and since UCDOS can't run in CMD, I went to a lot of trouble to find an MS-DOS 7.10 disk and boot into DOS. Who would've thought the reason UCDOS won't run is the same as under WIN2000's CMD. What a waste of effort! But that Tianhui can run.

Do you understand what I mean by path settings? For example, a lot of UCDOS versions have to run in the C:\UCDOS folder, otherwise you'll always get problems like files such as HZK16 not being found. There are other similar cases too, so check carefully before saying more.

This time it seems to work.
