At my workplace under DOS we use UCDOS7 + FOXBASE for payroll, and some names can't be entered. How can I input the extended character set? I saw here that AW97 seems to support the extended character set, but I don't know how to use it. It also seems like it can't input them, right? Urgent!!! Everyone please help, many thanks!!

AW97 can definitely input the GBK extended character set. Its Pinyin and shape-code input both support entering GBK characters.

How do I use AW97? I can't figure it out. Where are the instructions? Please explain in more detail, many thanks

In UCDOS, the fonts for zones 88 and 89 contain some extended Chinese characters (not GBK characters). If the number of GBK characters you need is not many, you can make do with them. As for AW97, we all tried it briefly and then forgot about it. Not many people really used it. It doesn't let us use Wubi, so...
