Many newspapers and magazines have published methods for making warm reboot files. Basically, they all use Debug to create a COM program of about 20 bytes. Although it is not hard to make, the process is not easy to remember. Recently I happened to get a tiny warm reboot program, -reset.com. It is only 2 bytes long (possibly the smallest program in the world). After dissecting it, I worked out a simple way to make a warm reboot file. The steps are as follows:
1. In DOS real mode, type copy con reset.com and press Enter 2. Press ALT+205, then ALT+25, then the F6 key, and press Enter (it is best to use the numeric keypad for the numbers) After making it, type reset and press Enter to try it out. Isn't it very handy? Its biggest use is: adding it into AUTOEXEC.BAT as an auxiliary program for a small section of code |

Try this one below
debug -a jmp ffff:0 <=======just remember this line rcx 5 nreboot.com w q This will generate a 5-byte reboot.com file. If it doesn't work, then you definitely are not running under pure DOS. |
