It seems a lot bigger than the original, especially this VC.OVL file. Can it be compressed a bit? Also, when exiting, can pressing F10 exit directly? One version I used still needed me to press Y after F10 before it would quit.

What do you mean by “a lot bigger than the original”? This is version 4.99.08 with FAT32 and long filename support. Even if you count out the EDIT.COM program, it's still under 100K. Under DOS it can copy and move files and directories of hundreds of megabytes without the slightest damage. With features this powerful, file managers of the same kind are almost no match for it!
