Because my QQ got infected, I uninstalled QQ. But when I looked under C:\PROGRAM FILE\TENCENT there were still several files left. Their extensions were DLL and EXE. My system is XP, so I formatted a floppy disk as a boot disk, rebooted, set BIOS to boot from FLLOY, entered DOS, and then used c:\...\tencent del *.* , but they still couldn't be deleted. In the end it was best to go into XP Safe Mode and delete them there. I don't know why they couldn't be deleted under DOS?

Could you explain it a bit more clearly?
For example, what is the error message?

Maybe these are hidden files. When using del, they can't be found, so they can't be deleted

Maybe the read-only attribute is set

attrib -r file

Remove all attributes first, then delete!
ATTRIB -R -H -S *.*
DEL *.*

I tried this before, and indeed there were some things in WIN95 that just couldn't be deleted under DOS no matter what. In the end I used DISKEDIT to change the first byte of those filenames to the deletion marker E5, then used CHKDSK or NDD to scan, and they would be treated as lost clusters and deleted.
