Using "virtual machines" to play DOS games
Because my operating system is only WINXP, I found that many DOS games can't be played, so I installed two kinds of "virtual machines": one is virtual pc (the DOS version is 7.1), the other is dosbox. According to the online guides, both of them were installed normally on my computer, but still most DOS games can't be played. The results are as follows:
Aero Biz 2 (produced by Koei, business strategy)
When played with virtual pc, it shows no enough emm
When I used mem to check, I found there was no emm386 entry;
When played with dosbox, it can't save

Escort World (business strategy)
When played with virtual pc, it starts out normal, but after running for a while the mouse starts moving all over the place, causing a hang
Can't be played with dosbox, startup gives a black screen

Emperor (simulation/training)
Can't be played with virtual pc, it shows dos/4gw error(2002):transfer stack overflow interrupt 0dh dt ...
Can't be played with dosbox, startup gives a black screen
Could some expert please give me some pointers?

"no enough emm" means there is no EMS memory. Try DEVICE=EMM386.EXE RAM.

As for the problems after that, I guess they're all compatibility issues with the virtual machine.
