Question: after selecting the driver and then running win,
it shows An error occured while trying to initialize the video adapter what's going on? |

Video card initialization error. The wrong driver was installed, try switching to the correct one.

Mine is an intel 82845g graphics controller
and that driver was downloaded from this site, sgva.exe it says they are all supported does my video card not support it? |

Go search the manufacturer's website yourself to see whether they provide drivers. Generally speaking, for relatively popular hardware, the manufacturers will provide drivers for almost all mainstream operating systems.

For this, it just depends on whether the manufacturer provides WIN3x drivers..

Although svga.exe is said to be a "generic driver," in fact it only works for most cards, not all of them. For the remaining ones, you'll still have to rely on the driver that comes with the video card itself.
