Video recorded by ordinary digital cameras is generally encoded with MJPEG, and the filename extension is AVI or MOV. Is there a DOS program that can play this format?

MOV has to be played with QUICK TIME.
For AVI files, if the MEDIA is uncompressed, REALPLAY and Super Jieb a can both play them; if it is in MPEG4 format then you need to install the DIVX plugin.
