China DOS Union

I downloaded Open Watcom version 1.1 from Watcom's official website www.openwatcom.org. After installing it, there were these four files in the binw folder:
pmwlite.exe
pmwbind.exe
pmwsetup.exe
pmodew.exe
My Rising antivirus reported them as the DosExe.Virus.Weird virus. I suspected it was a false positive, so I checked in many places and found that all related downloads on www.openwatcom.org (including the source code) contain these four files, and all of them are flagged as viruses.
Today, I found “PMWLite 1.33” in the “compression software” section under “DOS software downloads” at New DOS Era. Is this the one inside Open Watcom? After I downloaded and extracted it, sure enough, it was those same four files, and Rising also reported them as viruses. At this point, I think this is a false positive from Rising, but I don't know whether my judgment is correct.
But why would it be a false positive? Could it be that this software uses some virus techniques? If anyone knows, please don't hesitate to enlighten me.

I have all of these files on my system. F-PROT and other up-to-date antivirus software, both domestic and foreign, have not found any virus at all, so it can basically be confirmed that this is a false positive from RAV. It can only be said that it was caused by a BUG in RAV itself.
