I bought a book called "The Complete Standard C Language Guide", and it came with a CD. It has the digpp compiler on it. How do I install it under DOS? After I installed it, running programs always gives errors. What are its most commonly used commands, and how do I use them?

No need to install it, just copy all the files to C:\djgpp
Then create djgpp.bat
The contents are
set djgpp=c:\djgpp\djgpp.env
set path=c:\djgpp\bin;%path%
Make a batch file djmake.bat
The contents are @gcc %1.c -o %1.exe
Later, when compiling code, run
djgpp.bat in a DOS window or in DOS mode, then use djmake filename to compile.
Then create djgpp.bat
The contents are
