The fact that DOS doesn't support USB really is a problem. I wonder if there are any experts who can solve it.

Who says DOS doesn't support USB devices??? Using USB drives under pure DOS (meaning USB hard disks, USB CD-ROM drives, USB flash drives, etc., for example my own 128MB USB flash drive), USB keyboards, and so on is no problem at all. If you want to use USB printers and other USB devices, please use USB4DOS software; it should let you use USB printers directly under pure DOS.
