Problem installing software on the MINI system! - China DOS Union Forum

The overall performance of the MINI system is pretty good, but I ran into problems installing some software!

Today a friend came to my place wanting to play Lianzhong games, but no matter what, it just wouldn't install! Later I unpacked it and found that installing Lianzhong games requires support from IE 4.0 or above!

But the MINI system improves performance precisely because it doesn't integrate IE and other M$ "junk", so if I install IE, wouldn't that just turn it back into a full system again?

I wonder whether anyone else using the MINI system has run into this? And is there any related solution?

PS: Actually, as far as I know, some other software also needs IE in order to install properly. How should this problem be handled? I'd appreciate any advice from you all!
