I've been busy installing machines these past two days, and having to boot from a boot disk every time is too much trouble.
Can I put the boot disk onto drive C:? It just needs to have the boot disk function; I don't need anything else.
I heard from a net friend that format c: /s can do it, but I tried several times and it still didn't work. Afterward there was only the command.com file on drive C: (there may have been other hidden ones too; when I ran antivirus it seemed to show 4 files). Booting from drive C: still wouldn't work, and then I copied the data from drive A: to drive C:, but that still didn't work. I'd like to ask if there's any way to do this? Thanks!

I'm booting with a 98SE boot disk. The hard disk is a bit old, it's a 4G Seagate; I don't know the exact performance specs. The memory is also very small, it seems to show only 28M, hehe!
So under normal circumstances, if you boot from a boot disk, can format c: /s make drive C: bootable?

Don't use a WIN boot disk. Please download a DOS boot disk here and try it, for example an MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk.

I'd also like to ask: if I directly extract the image onto drive C: of another hard disk, can I boot directly from drive C:?
