Yesterday I was having dinner at my girlfriend's home```her younger sister asked me a question``if you fold a sheet of paper in half 50 times`how thick will it be`She's in junior high`and I thought, isn't this dead simple``after making sure it wasn't some kind of trick question``I only thought about it for 1 minute 38 seconds before saying it'd be about one story high``who knew she just gave two little hehe's and said nothing more``After dinner I still wasn't convinced, so I sat down and honestly worked it out```the result almost made me pass out``

My answer is: 49 times the thickness of a single sheet.

It should be 2 to the 49th power times the paper thickness, because each time you fold it in half, the thickness doubles.

Obviously it increases at a rate of 2 to the Nth power, which is to say, the thickness of one sheet multiplied by 2 to the 49th power

There's one problem......
When you fold a sheet of paper in half......the paper's area is divided by 2.......no matter how big your sheet is.......by the time you fold it 25~35 times.....it'll already be very hard to keep folding it...... |

The answer is 5.6294995342131 E+014 times the thickness of a sheet of paper. Assuming 100 sheets of paper equal 1 centimeter in thickness (a bit thicker than ordinary printing paper), the height would be 56,294,995.34 kilometers. The distance from the Earth to the Moon is only 380,000 kilometers.
