We’re often prompted to insert a floppy disk into the floppy drive (actually not only when making boot disks; some programs also require a floppy to make a configuration disk for them---like when installing shared networking)... But many people don’t have a floppy drive--I’m one of them~~~

But I still want to see what the floppy I make actually looks like

I wonder if there is a virtual floppy drive like a virtual CD-ROM drive???

Specifically, how would it be virtualized? Do you mean directly emulating it with an IMG image file?

Make those programs that require a floppy drive think the machine has one, so they can carry out operations writing to the floppy drive, and at the same time that virtual floppy drive can make the contents into an .IMG or similar image! ---- that would do

(Brother Wengier, there can’t be no such program, right!!!) If there really, really isn’t one, then what’s the most commonly used and best virtual floppy drive?
