My external hard drive uses a Keshuo external hard drive enclosure, the chipset is ALI M5621, USB2.0. Machine specs: Cyrix 1.7G, 256M DDR, Intel845GL motherboard (sound card, graphics card, and network card all integrated). The USB controller should be Intel’s.
When booting with the boot disk you made, using the M3 section’s configuration, it hangs at some USB-related stuff, that is, USBCD detection finds nothing, then there are two more consecutive USB-related things, and it just stops there. The floppy drive light stays on constantly. Hehe, could it be caused by the driver? Using the M4 section’s configuration, it hangs after that graphical memory usage status display. The symptom is also that the floppy drive light stays on constantly, and the system stops responding. These two crash symptoms are about the same. Pressing NUMLOCK on the keypad doesn’t respond either. I’d like to ask what’s going on. Is there any solution? Hehe...
Also, I changed to another machine to try it, and it could boot, but it did not recognize my USB hard drive. The other machine was a Founder brand PC.
